Requirements:
The successful candidate must have strong written and oral communication skills and must be capable of communicating well with Ph.D. level scientists and QC technicians. The ability to work independently and to demonstrate a strong commitment to customer satisfaction is essential for success. Frequent overnight travel is required.
 The ideal candidate will possess both a strong technical aptitude and a good understanding of sales and marketing disciplines.
Responsibilities:
The Product Specialist applies scientific knowledge and principles to provide in-depth training and assistance to Anton Paar salespeople and customers on the proper use of highly complex measuring and laboratory instruments and proprietary hardware. The Product Specialist maintains the highest level of knowledge of Rheology products and underlying scientific and technical principles in order to develop instructional materials and to deliver training courses via seminars and webinars.
Additionally, The Product Specialist monitors market and product trends to report findings to upper management and also analyzes samples in a laboratory environment, assists in verification of product quality and develops new application reports.
Qualifications:
The preferred candidate will possess a B.S. degree in electrical, mechanical or chemical engineering, chemistry, physics, materials science or related field. Rheology applications experience is a plus.
 
Master’s degree or PhD of same fields preferred.
 
3 years of experience working with analytical instrumentation is required and the candidate must maintain a current and valid driver’s license and passport.
